Default Router IP Addresses
Every router brand uses a specific local IP address or hostname for its admin panel. Find yours below, click to open the login page, or use the search to filter by brand.
Find Your Router's IP
Not sure which IP your router uses? The fastest way is to run ipconfig on Windows (Command Prompt) or ip route show default on Mac/Linux and look at the Default Gateway value. That address always opens the admin login page. Or use our automatic Router IP Finder tool.
Type the IP address directly into your browser's address bar with http:// at the start — for example http://192.168.1.1. Do not search for it in Google and do not add www in front.

The table above lists the factory defaults. If someone changed your router's gateway IP, or you're not sure which one applies to your router, use these commands to find the actual current gateway on your network.
| Operating System | Command | Where to Look |
|---|---|---|
| Windows | ipconfig | Default Gateway under active adapter |
| macOS | netstat -nr | grep default | First IP in output |
| Linux | ip route show default | IP after "via" |

Frequently Asked Questions
Why do so many different brands use the same IP address?
Private IP addresses like 192.168.1.1 only exist within a local network — they are never routed over the public internet. So every home in the world can have a device at 192.168.1.1 without any conflict. Router manufacturers pick a default from the RFC 1918 private ranges (10.x.x.x, 172.16-31.x.x, 192.168.x.x) and ship all their routers with that address pre-configured.
Can I change my router's IP address?
Yes. Log in to your router admin panel, go to LAN settings, and change the IP address field to any valid private IP that doesn't conflict with other devices. After saving, the router reboots and you must use the new address to reach the admin panel. Note it down before changing it.
My router's IP isn't in this list — what should I do?
Run ipconfig (Windows) or ip route show default (Linux/Mac) to find your actual gateway address — it always works regardless of what the factory default was. Some ISPs and businesses assign non-standard gateway addresses to equipment they supply.
