Wi-Fi Password Generator
Create a strong, random password for your Wi-Fi network. A good Wi-Fi password is the single most important barrier between your network and unauthorised access.

What Makes a Strong Wi-Fi Password?
A good Wi-Fi password needs to be long enough that brute-force attacks take impractically long, and random enough that dictionary attacks fail. WPA2 and WPA3 support passwords up to 63 characters. Here is what actually matters:
- At least 12 characters, 16 or more is significantly better
- Mix of uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols
- No recognisable words, names, or patterns
- Not related to your address, phone number, or birthdate
- Different from every other password you use
- Stored in a password manager, not written on a sticky note
WPA3 makes brute-force attacks significantly harder than WPA2. If your router supports WPA3, enable it in the wireless security settings — even a somewhat shorter password is much more resistant to offline cracking attempts.
How to Change Your Wi-Fi Password
- Log in to your router admin panel at http://192.168.1.1 (or your router IP).
- Navigate to Wireless or Wi-Fi settings. Look for Wireless Security or Security Mode.
- Make sure the security mode is set to WPA3 or WPA2-AES (not WEP or TKIP).
- Find the Password, Passphrase, or Network Key field and enter your new password.
- Save the settings. The router applies the change and all connected devices will need to reconnect with the new password.
