Default Router Passwords

Factory login credentials for 100+ router brands. The sticker on your router is always the most accurate source — use this table when the label is unreadable or if you need to confirm what defaults to expect.

Security reminder: Default credentials are publicly documented. Change your admin password immediately after first login — anyone connected to your Wi-Fi can use the defaults to access your router settings.

How to Change Your Router Admin Password

Log in to your router admin panel using the factory credentials from the table above. The admin password setting is usually in Administration, Management, or System settings. Choose a password of at least 12 characters that you store in a password manager. It should be different from your Wi-Fi password.

See the full guide: How to Change Your Router Admin Password.

If you have forgotten a changed admin password, the only recovery is a factory reset. There is no "forgot password" option for router admin panels.

Frequently Asked Questions

My router's default credentials are not in this table — where do I find them?

The most reliable source is always the label on the physical router — look on the back or bottom. It typically shows the default IP, username, and password. Manufacturer support pages and the router's quick-start guide are the next best sources. As a last resort, a factory reset returns the router to factory defaults including whatever credentials were originally printed on the label.

Does "blank password" mean I just press Enter?

Yes — when a router has a blank default password, you leave the password field empty and click Login. Do not type the word "blank." Some routers with blank passwords will prompt you to set a new one on first login.

Why does my ISP-supplied router have a unique password?

ISPs configure routers with unique per-device passwords as a security improvement over universal defaults. The unique password is printed on the router label and is typically a long random string. This is the correct password for that specific unit — it cannot be guessed from the brand name alone, which is the whole point.
